Survivors who come to WAO are first assisted by our services team who are often the first to assist, helping countless survivors rebuild their lives with tailored guidance and support. Through the exhibition and fundraiser, we hope to raise awareness on support structures and systems necessary for survivors of violence in Malaysia. Proceeds from the sale of art pieces and related merchandise will benefit both the artists and WAO’s services.
The details for the exhibition are as follows
Venue: Grey Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur
Date: 25 November 2023
Time: 6pm to 10pm
You will have the opportunity to meet up and coming Malaysian artists and potentially purchase one of a kind art pieces on display as well as network with the other art enthusiasts and activists in attendance. In addition to viewing the works on display, there will be various activities taking place throughout the exhibition including an art jam workshop (pre-registration required). We believe that these activities will enhance your overall experience and provide you with a deeper understanding of why support services are a crucial part of combating gender based violence.
