An English pastoral comes to life in Vaughan Williams’ 5th Symphony; its dark undertones embued with serene reflection. The MPO proudly presents newly commissioned work “Flamme, Funken, Freude” by Malaysia’s own Tengku Irfan – inspired by Beethoven and honouring the spirit of symphonic invention. Acclaimed violinist Soyoung Yoon performs Sibelius Violin Concerto, featuring haunting melodies and fiery virtuosity.
