Join us for a short story workshop for beginners conducted by Elaine Chiew, a writer and a visual arts researcher. She is the author of The Heartsick Diaspora and other stories (Penguin Random House SEA and Myriad Editions UK, 2019 & 2020), as well as the compiler and editor of Cooked Up: Food Fiction From Around the World (New Internationalist, 2015). Twice winner of the Bridport Short Story Competition, she has published numerous stories in anthologies in the UK, US and Singapore. She also writes flash fiction and has been named Wigleaf Top 50 twice, nominated for the Pushcart Prize four times and published in Best Small Fictions (Sonder Press, 2019) and Dzanc Books’ Best of the Web (2010). She currently writes freelance for ArtReview Asia and ArtsEquator. Elaine lives in Singapore.
