‘Sanubari’ is a lovely Malaysian word that means ~ our heart, our soul ~… watch us dance to hear our hearts speak.
In this two part performance, we begin with the classics, Le Corsaire. Our dancers will perform short contrasting excerpts from this ballet to showcase their classical technique and artistry.
In our second section, we bring it back home to our roots and pay homage to our Malaysian heritage. Here the dancers will perform to well loved classics from our childhood, as well as to other melodic Malaysian songs. We embrace our oneness of living in Malaysia by fusing classical and modern movements to Malaysian music.
