A Perfect Person (APP)
“One day, I saw almost everyone using social media on their phone. I myself would often pick up my phone and unconsciously browse Instagram. Because of this, I would like to know whether the social media I use is a person? Can I talk with him? Can I interact with him? Will he give me a response? These kinds of problems are like the waves, keep dashing in my mind..."
Precisely because of this phenomenon, it motivated her to choreograph “APP” to create awareness to uncover the discomfort and anxiety behind this seemingly "natural" action by using the combination of theatrical approach for mass appeal and athleticism to visualize the fundamental communication and connection between people.
You've seen them. You've heard them. You've touched them. Now meet them live, in person.
From the company that brought the dark humorous theatrics of Cell12 (2017) and "We, The Singaporeans!" (2018), TRDOco brings you a brand new immersive Contemporary dance experience that will take you on an exploration of the human nature from the eyes of social media. Survival, competition, the need for attention, the secret desires, the hidden dark side and the inevitable effects of life - all depicted through the light-hearted characteristics of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Linked-In and Tinder. Ultimately, as we dwindle through the world of these APPs, what makes a perfect person?Join TRDOco once again as we take you on a ride that will provoke more than just a round of applause!
