PJPAC is thrilled to have @la.danza.theatre back at Stage 1 Theatre, PJPAC, 1 Utama E on Sunday 17 September 2023 with When Ballet meets Contemporary Dance.
“When Ballet Meets Contemporary” features contemporary ballet. Contemporary ballet is a style of dance that meshes classical ballet with modern dance to create movements that are more expressive and less rigid in form than classical ballet.
This edition, the participants of International Tanz Challenge 2023 and National Dance Camp 2023 will continue to work on their joint choreography with a variety of choreographers that come from different backgrounds and perspectives provides dancers with “an opportunity to expand their view of life and the arts.”
The performance will feature choreography by astounding talents such as Ms. Violet and Mr. Alfren from Dancelink
Performing Arts, Mr. Aman Yap one of the founders from Duo Space, and Ms. Miwa from Japan. The program will feature two dances performed by students from Dancelink Performing Arts, a performance by Mr. Aman himself -an esteemed teacher will be gracing the stage with his own performance, and finally, a dance choreographed by Ms. Miwa, a Master Teacher from Japan.
