Produced by Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) Presented by Tan Su Yin The recital showcases western classical percussion playing, the marimba in particular. The program consists of a mostly American composer repertoire due to the influence to Su Yin while she was studying in New York.Having an American program doesn’t mean that they all sound similar. In fact, the program covers a wide range of compositional techniques and musical styles. Most of the repertoire chosen are important repertoire from the era and require advance technical skills to execute. Audiences will get to experience and witness some of the best percussion compositions of this era.
