Ivory Series introduces a brand new show titled ‘The Boutique Of Dreams’. This collaborative piece brings together the elements of piano, paper, poetry and videography to inspire a dreamlike experience.
Featuring the immense talents of classical pianist Mei Lin Hii and critically acclaimed actor Ghafir Akbar, music from the early Baroque to 20th-century minimalist is paired with the contemporary writing of Georges Perec and the lyrics of Bob Dylan to fill an auditorium with the conscious and unconscious. Interpretations of the realms of imagination and reality are created from immersive visuals, through combining an installation by paper artist Anne Dé with the conceptual designs by videographer Arnaud Blondel. Virtual dreams weave through space and sound to capture glimpses of a heightened vision of music and poetry.
Featured works include Art of the Fugue Contrapunctus 1 & 2 by J.S.Bach, Clair De Lune by Debussy, 124 Dreams by Georges Perec, Etudes by Philip Glass, Not Dark Yet by Bob Dylan and more.
