As an aspiring hub for enterprising local artists and artisans, it means a lot to them to have the opportunity to collaborate and provide a platform for four of @nationalartgallerymy‘s Bakat Muda Sezaman 2021 finalists to showcase their artworks.
The Bakat Muda Sezaman 2021 (Young Contemporaries 2021) is a biennal competition for Malaysian artists below 35 years of age. For BMS 2021: Seni Di Lokasi at GMBB, the four participants will be housed until 31 March 2022 at these areas:
• Solitary Wall, a mobile mural by Rais Azmi (GMBB Main Entrance)
• Alam Maya, a mixed media Augmented Reality installation by Nur Fera Ereen (2nd Floor)
• The New Visible Horizon, a mixed media installation with projections by Lim Bo Qiang & Chow Chin Sien (3rd Floor)
• I don’t really want you to see me, but I still want to show you, an immersive installation by Chloe Yap (9th Floor)
