Prepare to embark on an emotional journey like no other. Kamerata KL invites you to experience a concert that will take you through the full SPECTRUM of human emotions, from joy to sorrow and everything in between.
We will begin with the serene beauty of Bach’s widely-known Air, followed by a youthful and joyful divertimento, written by a 16-year old Mozart. The two pieces are then contrasted by two compositions of the 20th century: Barber’s archaic chant-like Adagio for Strings, as well as Shostakovich’s raw and violent portrait of the Dresden bombing in his Chamber Symphony, dedicated to the “victims of fascism and the war”.
Get your tickets and join us for a memorable evening of emotional rollercoaster, as we witness the impact of war has on the shift of musical aesthetics.
