Publika Shopping Gallery will be hosting its seventh Bon Odori at The Square, Publika and Bon Odori bazaar at Arcoris Mont’Kiara to commemorate the famous summer festival celebrated in Japan.
The annual event was celebrated in Japan during the 15th century to honour the spirits of their ancestors.
Presently, the Bon Odori festival has become a celebration for families to reunite and enjoy the summer holidays together.
This year, Publika is excited to kick off the celebration with a Japanese Street Parade with 40 Yosakoi dancers from Japan who will be joining attendees donning Japanese traditional costumes marching from the West Gate Entrance all the way to the Square.
There will be stalls selling Japanese delicacies during the event. Attendees will be spoilt with choices on a wide variety of snacks and sweet delights, along with pre-event dance guidance sessions, fireworks display, various performances and workshops.
