Purely symphonic in orchestration, the Seventh Symphony revels in special orchestral tone colours and uses unusual instruments such as tenor horn, guitar and mandolin to make its unique effects. Russian conductor Stanislav Kochanovsky shows his versatility in these two great German masterpieces.
