Pakis is a young girl from a fishing community of the Bajau people in Wakatobi, Sulawesi, part of the Coral Triangle. She lives with her mother, Tayung who works hard to support her daughter. As Pakis’ father has been lost at sea, Pakis is determined to search for her father — a quest which brings the two into conflict.

Dia hidup bersama-sama ibunya, Tayung, yang bekerja keras untuk membesarkan anak gadisnya. Pakis nekad mencari ayahnya yang hilang — pencarian yang membawa mereka berdua ke kancah konflik.
