Derwent Valley Concert Band (www.dvcb.org) from Hobart, Tasmania are one of Australia’s top wind bands having been State and National champions and runners up many times. They will be touring Malaysia from 9th to 19th July 2018 with guest artist Malaysian singer and composer Mia Palencia (MUD, Ola Bola etc) and guest conductor Paul M Baker who will be conducting the Malaysian premier of his acclaimed Taiping Suite for Symphonic Wind Band. A highly enjoyable programme of music from Malaysia and Australia as well as popular swing numbers from the 1940’s and 50’s will be performed and for the first concert on 11th July they’ll be joined by members of Lindy Hop Dancers KL Swing.
