They are delighted to present with everyone their first-ever exhibition – Crafting Resistance. A project that they have been working hard on for past few months.
The exhibition features new batik designs and product range which draw influences from youth culture, while maintaining allusions to local design traditions.
Crafting Resistance is a meeting of medium and message, form and content. In our process, we delved into the natural dyeing traditions in craft-making, using dyes extracted from plants. We also attempt to be conscious of the production materials that we used, which are mostly upcycled from past products or organic wastes.
The exhibition runs from the 16th—30th December 2021 at our studio space at The Zhongshan Building, Kuala Lumpur.
