Breakthrough Journey

Dua Space was invited to collaborate with artists from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore to perform in the dance drama back in Jan 2021 but they couldn’t make it due to the lockdown enforcement by the Japanese government.

It is honour for them to get to collaborate with BIG-i for organize this screening and talk session on 27 Feb in Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre this time, inviting Aman Yap (Artistic Director of Dua Space Dance Theatre), Kyoko Suzuki (Deputy Director of BIG-I / Producer of “Breakthrough Journey”), Tatsuya Hasegawa (General Director of “Breakthrough Journey”), Ammar Ameezy (Disabled dancer from Singapore), and Japan& Malaysia’s dancers with disabilities to reflect on the project’s efforts over the past year, share the results, and discuss a wide range of possibilities for future artistic activities by people with disabilities. The session will be facilitated by Amandus Paul Panan (Artistic Director of Malaysia International Dance Organisation, MIDO / Lecturer in Universiti Teknologi MARA, UiTM).
