Legatharsis is a new event coming up in new year 2024. The term “Legatharsis” is a combination of the words Legar and Catharsis/Katharsis, and it conveys a very clear meaning where the concept of Legar: a large space that symbolises freedom. Katharsis, meanwhile, is a Greek word that refers to the purification of emotions through art. It is the combination of these two concepts that generates the idea for the Expressionist concept. This event aims to introduce the diversity of art and culture in Malaysia by combining expressionism and traditional culture, that is expressing yourself through art and culture through activities such as batik coloring workshops, art discussion forums, sessions with guest artists and many other interesting activities.
