Bach to Baroque –
We’re excited to announce ‘Bach to Baroque’, 31st October 2018 at the Dewan Filhamonik Petronas.
We’ll be presenting several wonderful works, including the first movement of J.S. Bach’s brilliant triple concerto BWV 1064R, the hauntingly beautiful ‘Echo Sonata’ by Biagio Marini, the rich and intricate triple violin sonata by J. H. Schmelzer, as well as arias by Handel, Monteverdi, and more!
For this concert we have three Baroque violins backed by a continuo section consisting of the viola da gamba, harp, and contrabass, as well as a chamber organ and double manual harpsichord courtesy of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
