The 2025 Pentas Project Theatre Production’s “Acting Training Workshop” is back! Director Loh Kok Man firmly believes that mastering the art of acting requires long-term training and the accumulation of practical experience to fully grasp acting techniques.
As such, Pentas Project is committed to offering a comprehensive acting training workshop: 16 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, for a total of 48 hours. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Director Loh Kok Man will lead participants through a program that combines viewpoint learning with hands-on practice.
Participants will learn to utilize their innate acting tools—body and voice—and explore the dynamic world of acting creativity and imagination through space, time, shape, movement, emotion, and story in the most engaging and challenging ways.
Acting is a form of game; A game through uses the body and voice to communicate ideas with others, within different times and spaces. To perform well, an actor must train to consciously control their voice and body. This training requires each learner to achieve their goals based on their unique abilities, exploring through space, time, shape, movement, emotion, and story. You will start by learning to think and judge, letting theatre help you dynamically understand yourself and the group. Through the pleasure of game, the learners will explore together the real world of performance creativity and imagination.
