🎤 Prof. Eku Wand
|  School of Fine Arts, Braunschweig University of Art, Germany

  • Prof. Eku Wand, born in 1963, has lived and worked in various cities over the years. For 21 years, he resided in Berlin, followed by 10 years in Frankfurt, and then 4 years in Jakarta. Since 2006, he has been commuting between Germany and Indonesia, driven by a desire to take on new challenges and opportunities. He pursued his studies in Visual Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), laying the groundwork for his creative endeavors. In 1991, Prof. Eku Wand assumed the roles of founder, creative director, and managing director of “Pixelpark AG” in Berlin, a well-known media agency in Germany that maintains its reputation to this day. Subsequently, in 1993, he established his own multimedia studio, “eku interactive,” where he brought various interactive new media projects to life. As an independent author, director, producer, and publisher, he has contributed to edutainment CD-ROM titles and computer games, including notable works like “Berlin Connection” and “Berlin in the Underground – Potsdamer Platz.” His creative works have garnered international recognition, being showcased at numerous media festivals and exhibitions worldwide, including the Centre Pompidou animation collection. Prof. Eku Wand’s contributions have earned him various prestigious prizes and distinctions, such as Imagina, Siggraph, Prix Ars Electronica, and Europrix. Since 1998, he has been serving as a professor for Media Design/Multimedia at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK), while also holding the position of managing director at its Institute of Media Research (IMF) from 2007 to 2014. His areas of teaching and research expertise encompass Design Thinking, Interactive Storytelling, Narrative Environments, Game Design (including Serious Games and Virtual Reality), and Social Media Management (including Marketing). Moreover, Prof. Eku Wand actively contributes to the design community by serving as a jury member for several German design awards and engaging as a networker, delivering speeches, and conducting workshops at academic institutions within the games and education industries across Europe and Southeast Asia.


🎤 Prof. Phakkarawat Sittiprapaporn, PhD
|  Neuroscience Research Center, School of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand

  • Professor Dr. Phakkharawat Sittiprapaporn, a distinguished Thai Cognitive Neuroscientist, has garnered a considerable body of work published in numerous national and international publications. Notably, he has authored chapters in various books and served as a reviewer for esteemed national and international indexed journals. Born in Udornthani, Thailand, in 1970, he achieved his academic milestones with a B.A. (Hons.) in English from Srinakharinwirot University and an M.A. in Linguistics from Mahidol University, Bangkok, in 1993 and 1997, respectively. Subsequently, in 2002, he earned a Ph.D. degree in Neurosciences from Mahidol University, Thailand, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Clinical Cognitive Neuroscience Center (CCNC), Seoul National University, College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea, in 2006. Having commenced his professional journey as a lecturer in Neurosciences at the Neuro-Behavioural Biology Center, Institute of Science and Technology for Research and Development, Mahidol University, from 2003 to 2005, he was later invited to join the Music Therapy Division, College of Music, Mahidol University, Bangkok, in 2008. From January 2010, he became a part of the Faculty of Medicine at Mahasarakham University. With an impressive track record, Professor Dr. Phakkharawat Sittiprapaporn continues to make significant contributions to the field of Cognitive Neurosciences and beyond.

🎤 Prof. Tetsuaki Baba, PhD
|  Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan

  • Tetsuaki BABA, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Industrial Art at the Faculty of System Design, Tokyo Metropolitan University. His area of expertise lies in Interaction Design and Media Art, where he engages in research on various subjects, including musical instruments, experimental devices, gadgets, and educational materials. His work combines elements of product design and media art, showcasing a fusion of creativity and innovation. In 2009, he earned his Ph.D. degrees in art and technology from Kyushu University, Japan. Currently, he holds the position of associate professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University. One of his notable creations is the “Freqtric Drums,” a unique device that transforms users into musical instruments. Beyond merely playing the instruments, users can also communicate with each other through touch. This digital marvel enables participants to simultaneously enjoy music and engage in skin contact communication. As a testament to its significance, the “Freqtric Drums” has been permanently exhibited in various art and science centers worldwide. Tetsuaki BABA is an esteemed member of several professional organizations, including ACM, IPSJ, ADADA, and VRSJ. His dedication to exploring the intersection of art and technology has led to groundbreaking contributions in the field of Interaction Design and Media Art.


🎤 Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Khairul Azril bin Ismail
National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA), Malaysia
Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Khairul Azril Bin Ismail currently holds the position of Vice Rector at the National Academy of Arts, Culture, and Heritage (ASWARA). He is an expert in 19th Century Photohistorical Processes and practices as a versatile artist, engaging in multiple mediums both locally and internationally. In addition to his artistic pursuits, he serves as a member of the MQA panel, contributing to the Programme Standard Panel for the Arts & Design and the Creative Multimedia Technology. He also serves as a Standard Writer for the Good Guideline Practise (GGP). His areas of expertise and research interest revolve around Visual Culture, Art practice, and Prison Art Studies. In terms of academic achievements, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, as well as an MA in Arts & Design from UiTM Malaysia, Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Studies from Columbus College of Arts & Design, Ohio, USA. As a Photohistorical Practitioner, he has demonstrated his passion and creativity by acquiring a decommissioned ambulance and transforming it into a mobile darkroom while encapsulating his work into VR 360 and various media art format. This unique vehicle serves a dual purpose, functioning not only as his mode of transportation during road trips but also as a portable darkroom for his photohistorical endeavors.
