Batch 6 Interns will conclude their final week industrial training with an intimate recital, “West Meets East”.
First half of the recital will showcase Puccini’s opera works (Madama Butterfly, Gianni Schicchi, Turandot), Mozart’s masterpieces (Cosi Fan Tutte, Le Nozze di Figaro), Schumann’s Widmung, and Debussy’s Pagodes.
The recital will then travel through time to the East with exciting rendition of 彩云追月(Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon), 青玉案元夕 (Sapphire Suitcase), 灯火里的中国 (China In the Lights), 追梦人 (Dream Catcher), and 帕米尔我的家乡多么美 (Pamir, My Beautiful Hometown).
West Meets East will be presented by Ng Wen Wei (Cello), Cheah Pen Ny (Piano), Chang Xin Wen (Vocal), Lin Li Jing (Vocal, Guzheng), Yang Ying (Vocal, Guzheng) with piano accompaniment by Dr Bernard Tan.
