Jansen Chow’s 19th Solo Exhibition “City Impressions” showcase a series of artworks on scenes of George Town and other cities but in an abstract interpretations. Jansen’s latest style are now non specific landscapes which can be interpreted into places almost anywhere and everywhere, using his latest technique of a fusion of modern semi-abstract oil and acrylic on canvas medium
Jansen Chow was born in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia in 1970. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Kuala Lumpur College of Art in 1991. He won an art scholarship and studied in The Art Students League of New York, New York from 1994-1996.
Jansen has held 18 solo art exhibition worldwide and took part in more than 400 national and international art exhibition since 1992. He has won more than 60 national & International awards in oil, watercolor, photography & etching since 1988 including 9 times 1st place in watercolor competition in USA, Canada, Turkey & Malaysia. He is a signature member of American Watercolor Society (AWS) and National Watercolor Society (NWS).
Recently he became IWS Malaysia Country Head, FabrianoInAcquarello Malaysia Country Leader and the curator of “1st Malaysia International Watercolor Biennale 2018”
