| Synopsis : | This traditional music show features the Kumpulan Dabus, Tanjung Bidara, who hail from Perak, and who are led by Khalifah Seteh bin Anjang Ria and vocalist Haji Ismail bin Yusof. Dabus is one of the principal distinctive examples of Muslim devotional music in Malaysia. It's performed mainly in the states of Perak and Selangor, and largely by communities of Bugis (Sulawesian) descent. Presented by Galeri PETRONAS in collaboration with PUSAKA – Centre for the Study & Documentation of Traditional Performance in Malaysia Eddin Khoo, Director of PUSAKA, will give an introduction to the show. |
