| Synopsis : | Victoria Newton’s musical career began in Perth, where she studied jazz vocals at the Conservatorium, where she became vocalist with the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra and had the opportunity to support international artists such as Ray Charles, Dionne Warwick, Ray Brown and James Moody. Now based in London, this versatile Australian vocalist has delighted international audiences her rich, sensual voice and powerful stage presence. Victoria is once again performing what she really loves; jazz and Brazilian music, which has led to the release of her debut jazz album 'The Song is You'. During the last few years she has graced various Jazz Festivals throughout Europe and most recently at Ronnie Scotts in London. She will be joined by the Michael Veerapen Trio for her performance here, which is part of Alexis Bistro's International Jazz Series. |
