| Synopsis : | Join the MPO’s Paul Philbert as he takes you on a journey through the “timpani times” and demonstrates the metamorphosis of both the instruments, the methods of writing, and performing over the ages. There will be live demonstrations with audio / visual enhancements, hands on performing opportunities, and a question and answer session for you to get those burning questions off your chest. If you want to know more about what that loud noise at the back of the orchestra is all about, or even if you’ve always wanted to “have a bash” at playing timpani, this is your chance! *Open to all ages. |
