▼ Workshop 1: Theatre For The Brave But Fearful by Jo Kukathas
– An Introduction To Acting For Beginner
“I want to act. I don’t know where to start.”

This acting workshop is open only to people with little or no experience. It is open to people of ALL ages and I especially welcome especially older people who have an interest in theatre and performing.

Date: 16th April 2017 (Sunday)
Time: 2pm – 10pm (with one hour dinner break)
Venue: Studio 1, DPAC
Fees: RM 270 (Normal)/RM 240 (DCard)

▼ Workshop 2: Plays Well With Others by Jo Kukathas
– An Acting Workshop
“I want to work with some different actors to explore text as an ensemble.”

A 2 Day Workshop open to actors interested in exploring ensemble work. Some experience is necessary.

Date: 22nd & 23rd April 2017 (Saturday & Sunday)
Time: 10am – 6pm (with one hour lunch break)
Venue: Studio 1, DPAC
Fees: RM 470 (Normal)/RM 420 (DCard)
Target: Max. 16 pax. (Min. 8 pax. & min. age: 16 years old & above)

– A Workshop For Full-Time Actors (Scene Work for Actors)
“I want to explore and play with a variety of texts… and I don’t have a 9- 5 day job.”

A workshop to break open a diverse range of text. It’s a practical, floor led workshop for actors with experience wishing to flex some acting muscles. It’s also a workshop for working actors interested in working with other actors to further explore text and ensemble work.

Date: 24th – 28th April 2017 (Monday – Friday)
Time: 2pm – 10pm (with one hour dinner break)
Venue: Studio 1, DPAC
Fees: RM 560 (Normal)/RM 500 (DCard)
Target: Max. 14 pax., 4 Observers (Min. 8 pax. & min. age: 18 years old & above)

▼ Workshop 4: FIRSTSWoRKS 2017 Vol 1 Calling All Writers
– A Two Day Play Making Workshop For Writers
“I want to start writing for theatre.”

A two-day workshop on making plays. This is a practical workshop to break open plays and examine what makes them work. It is open to writers who have not yet written for theatre, or written much, as well as emerging artists who want to write for performance or want to know more. Writers will be introduced to a variety of plays, given scenes to read and break down and be asked to submit a short piece or an idea for a piece by the end of the workshop.

Date: 29th & 30th April 2017 (Saturday & Sunday)
Time: 10am – 5pm (with one hour lunch break)
Venue: Studio 1, DPAC
Fees: RM 340 (Normal)/RM 300 (DCard)
Target: Max. 12 pax. (Min. 8 pax. & min. age: 18 years old & above)
