The Actors Studio Teater Rakyat presents Usikan Rebab, an adaptation of Bisikan Rebab II, developed into a full length play by director Norzizi Zulkifli. Usikan Rebab is a story of a former Mak Yong heroine acted by Zamzuriah Zahari. The tale tells the frustration and conflict faced by Mak Nab, a former Mak Yong artiste, whose desire to impart her knowledge of the traditional dance theatre faces a dead-end with her three daughters who have different aspirations in life. The story revolves around the divergence of religion, tradition and individualism in the current societal framework, whereby the traditional performing art of Mak Yong suffers a decline due to the focusing of priorities in other sectors of life.
